Flute
Care

Over the years my teachers have repeatedly told me to "Wash your hands before you play removing dirt and oil that will transfer the to the instrument". I think that it's still good advice.
After playing your flute, loosen the ties and slide the totem back or remove it from the flute and allow the totem and flute to air dry seperately. Your flute should be stood mouthpiece down in order to dry before returning it to its case.
Most things made of wood will last longer and look nicer if periodically re-oiled. Coat the the flute with a nontoxic wood conditioner or oil. Most organic oils will do but some some may go rancid.
